| "For the last few years I've concentrated on learning to carve sedimentary and metamorphic stone. Although sometimes initially frustrating, these stones allow me to provide the detail and finish that I want. My greatest longing is to portray my subjects in a respectful and positive manner. I want to present our indigenous ways and values in a positive light. " |

Beaumont has devoted many years of his life to the education of Indian People, and firmly believes in preserving Native American values and traditions. Although Beaumont's profession is teaching, his true career is that of an artist. His sculptures reflect stories and traditions that were passed on to him from his Crow tribal ancestors. Therefore, each sculpture he creates carries a deep personal meaning. |
